New Wings for the Dreams of the Forest Region, Son of a Tendupatta Collector, Shri Ajay, Becomes Indian Forest Service Officer

Raipur, May 09, 2026: Chhattisgarh’s young talent Shri Ajay has created history by securing a place in the prestigious Indian Forest Service (IFS). Hailing from Sambalpuri village in Raigarh district, Ajay is the son of a tendupatta collector and has achieved an impressive All India Rank of 91 through hard work, determination, and dedication.Ajay, who once spent his childhood collecting tendupatta and mahua in the forests alongside his family, will now serve those very forests as an IFS officer. His inspiring journey reflects how determination and proper guidance can help overcome even the toughest challenges.A brilliant student since childhood, Ajay scored 92.66% in Class 10 and 91.40% in Class 12. His excellent academic performance earned him admission to National Institute of Technology Raipur, where he also received scholarships for three years. Ajay shared that before joining NIT, he believed his world was limited to his village, but college life broadened his perspective and inspired him to dream bigger.Ajay said forests have always been deeply connected to his life, as they supported his family financially and shaped his future. His experiences while working in Bastar strengthened his desire to dedicate his life to forest conservation and public service.Despite financial hardships, Ajay’s parents always prioritized education. During school vacations, he would help his family collect forest produce and assist in farming work. Their sacrifices and encouragement played a major role in his success.Ajay’s educational journey was also supported by several welfare schemes of the Chhattisgarh Government. Scholarships provided by the Minor Forest Produce Federation and the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme reduced the financial burden on his family and allowed him to focus on studies and competitive exam preparation.Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Shri Ajay on his achievement, calling it a proud moment for the entire state.
