Singapore: Chhattisgarh has emerged as a major investment destination on the global platform, receiving FDI proposals worth Rs 43,250 crore during the first SING Forum 2026 held in Singapore. The proposals include a major Rs 41,750 crore investment for a 100 MW hyperscale data centre.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai formally handed over an ‘Invitation to Invest’ letter to Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd for the proposed data centre project. The proposed investment is being viewed as a significant boost to Chhattisgarh’s digital infrastructure ambitions.
100 MW data centre to strengthen digital infrastructure
The proposed 100 MW hyperscale data centre could give a major push to Chhattisgarh’s digital ecosystem. Such infrastructure can support data storage, cloud services and technology-driven businesses while creating opportunities for allied sectors.
The project is also expected to open up possibilities for technology companies and digital businesses looking for new locations and infrastructure to expand their operations.
Growing global interest in Chhattisgarh
The investment proposals announced at the SING Forum are being seen as an indication of growing international interest in Chhattisgarh. The State has traditionally been known for its mineral wealth, power generation and industrial base, but is now seeking to expand its investment profile towards digital infrastructure and emerging technologies.
From minerals and power to the digital economy
The latest proposals signal a shift in Chhattisgarh’s investment landscape, with digital infrastructure emerging as a new area of focus alongside minerals, power and traditional industries.
The State government’s efforts are aimed at attracting investments that can bring advanced technology, create employment opportunities, strengthen skills and develop a wider ecosystem for local businesses.
The investment proposals received in Singapore mark an important step for Chhattisgarh as it seeks to strengthen its position on the global digital infrastructure map and attract technology-led investments.
