भारतीय वायुसेना (IAF) द्वारा पाकिस्तान की सीमा में घुसकर जैश के आतंकी कैंपों पर भारतीय वायुसेना के हवाई हमले के बाद पाकिस्तान और भारत के बीच तनातनी काफी बढ़ गई है. इस बीच भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रवीश कुमार ने मीडिया को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि पाकिस्तान की कोशिश को सफलतापूर्वक नाकाम किया गया और हमने उनके एक फाइटर विमान को मार गिराया. हालांकि, इस एक्शन के दौरान हमें एक मिग 21 विमान का नुकसान हुआ. विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रवीश कुमार ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान की कोशिशों को नाकाम करने के दौरान हमें एक विमान का नुकसान हुआ. हमारा एक मिग 21 विमान नुकसान हो गया और एक पायलट (Pilot Missing) भी लापता है.
विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि पाकिस्तानी वायुसेना को भारतीय वायुसेना ने देखा और उसके बाद जवाबी हमला बोला. इस कार्रवाई में भारतीय वायुसेना के मिग 21 ने पाकिस्तानी फाइटर जेट को मार गिराया. पाकिस्तान की तरफ ही पाकिस्तानी फाइटर विमान को आसमान से जमीन पर गिरते देखा गया. इस कार्रवाई में दुर्भाग्य से हमारा एक मिग 21 विमान खत्म हो गया. इस विमान का पायलट लापता है. पाकिस्तान ने दावा किया है कि हमारा एक पालट उसके कब्जे में है. हम उसके दावों की पड़ताल कर रहे हैं.
इससे पहले सीमा पर पाकिस्तान की नापाक हरकतों के बीच प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की अध्यक्षता में एक उच्चस्तरीय बैठक बुलाई गई. बैठक में गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह, राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार (एनएसए) अजित डोभाल, रॉ प्रमुख, गृह सचिव और अन्य प्रमुख अधिकारी शामिल हुए. करीब 20 मिनट तक यह बैठक चली. आतंकी कैंपों पर भारतीय वायुसेना के हमले से बौखलाए पाकिस्तान की ओर से 15 से अधिक स्थानों पर सीजफायर उल्लंघन किए जाने की घटना सामने आई है.

Balakot Jaish camp, destroyed by IAF, was like ‘5-star resort’: Report

Hundreds of fidayeen or suicide attackers and their trainers were shifted from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to a five-star resort style camp at a hilltop forest in Balakot after the Pulwama attack, providing Indian forces with “a sitting duck target” when they carried out an air strike early Tuesday, killing nearly 300 terrorists, PTI has reported, quoting sources.
The sources said those killed included 25 to 27 trainers at the the 7-acre camp, terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest in Pakistan. The Jaish had masterminded the February 14 suicide attack on a CRPF convoy in south Kashmir’s Pulwama that killed 40 jawans. The group is headed by Masood Azhar, whose brother-in-law Yousuf Azhar reportedly ran the camp.
Everyone at the camp was sleeping when the IAF mirage 2000s bombed it at around 3.30 am; the Pakistani defence establishment had no clue that the attack was coming so deep into their country because they had expected a surgical strike on camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir near the Line of Control, said the sources who are close to the government, PTI said.
India had received intelligence that JeM had shifted many in-training terrorists and hardcore operatives, along with their trainers, to the Balakot camp, which has facilities to house 500 to 700 people, and even has a swimming pool along with cooks and cleaners.
Fighter and other aircraft took off from several air bases in Western and Central commands at about the same time, leaving Pakistani defence officials confused as to where they were heading, the PTI report said, citing sources. A small group of aircraft broke away from the swarm and headed to Balakot where “the sleeping terrorists were sitting ducks for the Indian bombing,” said one source. “They had no idea that Balakot was to be the target … when the pictures come in you will see only khandahar (ruins) of the once-flourishing camp,” said the source.

19-minute long operation: How IAF planned strikes on JeM’s camp

12 Mirage-2000 jets executed the operation, dropping nearly 1,000 kg of explosives on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest camp in Balakot, Pakistan.
After the horrendous February 14 attack, this pre-emptive action made Indians joyous.
Here, we tell you how the operation happened.
Understanding the significance of location
The hilltop camp, ensconced among forests, was situated in Balakot in Khyber Pakhtukhwa of Pakistan. The location is all the more important as this is the first time IAF crossed the LoC since 1971 for an operation.
It was at this camp that mastermind of Pulwama attack, Abdul Ghazi alias Kamran was trained.
The operation started at 3:30 AM, reportedly, and ended in 19-minutes.
Jets were aided by robust support system
IAF planned this attack days ago and used an elaborate support system for the 12 jets.
Airborne Early Warning and Control System Aircraft (AEW&C) Netra and Israeli Heron drone played an important role in the operation.
Notably, mid-air refuellers were also deployed for emergency use.
The entry of Mirage-2000 jets into Pakistan airspace shows their air force wasn’t able to intercept the attack.
India started planning a day after Pulwama attack
According to reports, India was planning the attack for 11 days to avenge the Pulwama attack.
Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa suggested airstrikes as a retaliatory response on February 15, and the government approved of the idea.
From February 16 to 20, IAF and Indian Army carried out surveillance with Hereon drones along LoC.
For the next two days, they drew “target tables”.
An IAF warning jet was deployed for emergency
On February 24, a trial run was conducted in Central India.
Then finally on February 25, 12 Mirage-2000 jets, armed with laser bombs, took off from the base in Gwalior in batches.
Meanwhile, an IAF warning jet took off from Bathinda and a mid-air refueling tanker also left from Agra.
After “painting” the targets and receiving green signal, the jets struck.

India seeks Revenge: Fighter jets drop 1,000 kg bombs across LoC, destroys terror camp: IAF sources

A group of Mirage 2000 Indian Fighter jets struck a major terrorist camp across the LoC and completely destroyed it, reported ANI quoting IAF sources.
However, Pakistan army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed that Indian Air Force has intruded from Muzaffarabad sector.
In his tweet, Asif Ghafoor said, “Indian Air Force violated Line of Control. Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian aircrafts gone back. Indian aircrafts intruded from Muzafarabad sector. Facing timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force released payload in haste while escaping which fell near Balakot. No casualties or damage.”
The IAF sources also went on to add that 12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LOC.
